A vision of hope for Zambia’s most vulnerable communities.
Improving lives.
CPS Trust Ireland is the culmination of over three decades of charitable works by its founding members, three friends who acquired, by different routes, first-hand knowledge of individuals and projects helping to alleviate poverty in Zambia, Southern Africa.
As volunteer trustees, Brian Conroy (‘C’), Dr Ed Prendiville (‘P’) and Professor John Sheehan (‘S’) are fully aware from their personal experience of the ongoing need for support for vulnerable persons, including children, in deprived areas of Zambia.
CPS Trust Ireland seeks to achieve its objectives by raising funds in Ireland to provide direct support to local charitable organisations in Zambia.
Main Objectives
The main object is to assist in the provision of care to orphaned and other vulnerable children in Zambia, especially those infected or affected by HIV or AIDS. To this end, fundraising is undertaken in Ireland to provide funds to approved Public Benefit Organisations and other charitable organisations and community benefit groups in Zambia, which are known to the members of CPS.
Services Supported
Zambian partners are chosen on the basis they provide effective and sustainable programmes that will improve the lives of children and their caregivers, particularly in the areas of schooling, nutrition and healthcare.
CPS also aims to assist in the provision of education, training and healthcare projects in Zambia and to provide support with the aim of enabling individuals and organisations in Zambia to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.
“With the support from CPS Trust Ireland, we have been able to serve our students better than ever.”
